Prior to becoming an attorney, Rachel began her career as a Certified Paralegal, working in Estate Planning, with additional background in Family Law and Personal Injury.
Rachel has over 30 years experience in the legal field.
Ashley is the office's legal assistant and notary public. She has worked at Allums Law since we opened in 2020 and at other law firms as a file clerk for several years before that.
She has a degree in General Biology from UC San Diego and is planning to continue her career as a clinical psychologist.
Naiara is the executive assistant for Allums Law, APC. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she holds a degree from UADE in Translation and Interpretation.
With her strong organizational skills and attention to detail, she plays a key role in supporting the firm and ensuring effective communication with clients.
Rachel’s educational background is unique in that she "Learned the Law Like Lincoln" by participating in the California State Bar’s program allowing independent study with mentor attorneys, in lieu of attending a formal law school. This allowed Rachel to continue her full-time work, gaining valuable experience, in addition to her rigorous study schedule. Rachel completed the program in May of 2019 and passed the July 2019 California Bar Exam.
Outside of the office, Rachel is a wife and mother of two adult children. She is an avid community volunteer and served for six years on the Executive Board of the Poway High School PTSA and as the Senior Grad Night Chairperson for four years. Rachel has previously been honored as a Volunteer of the Year by the Poway Unified School District.
Rachel is also a proud volunteer for the San Diego County Bar Association's Wills for Heroes program and currently serves on the San Diego County Bar Association’s Programs and Education Committee as the curriculum lead for the Leadership Academy Curriculum Committee, which works to build lawyers as leaders in the community.
